Gemini Boutique, a store at Broadway at the Beach that sells designer handbags, jewelry, watches, luggage and accessories, is one of 200 shops participating in the nationwide reveal of the TOMS Mystery Box on Tuesday, June 7 at 1:30 p.m. It is the only store in South Carolina to take part in the event.
Gemini Boutique has a mystery box that includes the new product line for TOMS, a California-based footwear company. The box is currently at Gemini Boutique and it is locked and can only be opened by a TOMS employee on the day of the reveal. No customers or employees know what is inside the box. Anyone can stop by the store to see the mystery box from now through Tuesday and guess what is inside. Those who guess correctly will be entered into a drawing to win a free pair of TOMS shoes.
After this reveal, TOMS will officially become a One for One company. Since the company’s inception, it has donated a pair of shoes for each pair bought. This next chapter will address a new basic need for less fortunate people, making TOMS not just a shoe company, but a One for One company of other products as well.
Gemini Boutique is a family-owned business that opened its first store in 1969. There are three locations in this area.

Grand illusionist, Carl Michael is set to start his two month run at Broadway at the Beach tonight at 6pm and 9pm on the stage at Heroes Harbor next to Margaritaville.
The Magic of Carl Michael will feature family friendly illusions and tricks designed to engage and intrique children of all ages. Some of Carl Michael’s illusions include Wonders of the Sandz, the sword box and Houdini’s Metamorphosis. The show will last about 30 minutes and is free of charge to the public.
Carl gained interest in magic at the young age of five and began performing at eight with the ball and vase trick. Since that time, he has performed in more than 20 states across the country, some of which included private shows for numerous A-list celebrities as well as some of America’s top corporate companies. Michael has served as the opening night entertainment at the Hootie and the Blowfish Monday After The Masters Tournament for three years, is a lifetime member of The International Magicians Society, and performs an average of 150 shows per year.
The Magic of Carl Michael will appear on the stage at Heroes Harbor, 5 nights per week (Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday) at 6pm & 9pm, June 1st thru July 31st.

Broadway at the Beach will begin the summer season with extended shopping hours, 10am to 11pm, seven days a week starting May 28th. The new shopping hours will remain throughout the summer season till September 4th. The operating hours for Broadway at the Beach’s restaurants, attractions and nightclub vary.

Broadway at the Beach will kick-off its nightly summer entertainment series with “The Magic of Carl Michael” starting Wednesday, June 1st. Carl, a dynamic illusionist, will perform 5 nights per week at 6pm and 9pm on the stage at Heroes Harbor, next to Margaritaville throughout the months of June & July.
“The Magic of Carl Michael” will feature a variety of illusions and other family-oriented tricks, including Wonders of the Sandz, the sword box and Houdini’s Metamorphosis. Each show will last approximately 30 minutes, is free of charge to the public and is designed to not only intrigue, but engage the audience as well.
In addition to “The Magic of Carl Michael,” Broadway at the Beach will feature another act on the Heroes Harbor stage beginning August 1st and running through September 2nd. On Tuesday evenings, enjoy summer fireworks starting at 10pm over Lake Broadway. These spectacular shows will run each and every Tuesday night from May 31st to August 30th.

The summer is fast approaching and Broadway at the Beach is getting ready for what is sure to be a banner season!
Beginning Saturday, May 28th, the shops at Broadway at the Beach will be open from 10am to 11pm, Monday thru Sunday. Restaurants, Attractions & Nightclubs operating hours vary.
On Tuesday, May 31st, Broadway at the Beach will kick-off the Tuesday Night Summer Fireworks shows with a spectacular display over Lake Broadway starting at 10pm. Guests will be able to enjoy fireworks every Tuesday night at 10pm from May 31st thru August 30th.
June 1st, Broadway at the Beach will introduce nightly entertainment on the stage at Heroes Harbor next to Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville. Shows will take place twice nightly at 6pm & 9pm, 5 nights a week and will run thru September 2nd.

Bodies Revealed will open at Broadway at the Beach on May 14, 2011 and be on display through September 5, 2011. Seen by millions worldwide, the Exhibition features real, whole and partial body specimens that have been meticulously dissected and preserved, giving visitors the opportunity to view the complexity of their own organs and systems like never before. This is the first time Bodies Revealed has come to South Carolina.
The Exhibition shares the body in unprecedented detail that is normally reserved for medical professionals. Visitors of all ages can look deep inside the carefully-preserved specimens, learn about human anatomy and see the effects that disease and unhealthy lifestyles have on the body.
Th cost will be $14 for adults and $10 for children. Children under the age of three are free. It will be open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. In the month of May, Bodies Revealed will have a limited weekend schedule. It will be available for viewing May 14 and 15; May 20 through May 22; and beginning May 27, it will be open every day until Sept. 5.

Broadway at the Beach was pleased to have the Honorable Governor Nikki Haley of South Carolina visit the property this morning and offer the Myrtle Beach community an update on her first 100 days in office.
The weather could not have been more picturisque, it was by far a true Chamber of Commerce kind of day, with a good crowd on hand to hear about her first 100 days!
